People stock salt and candles in preparation for the Doomsday
People around the world are preparing for 21 December 2012, the day Mayan Calendar is supposed to end. A considerable number of people who believe that world will end on Friday. In frenzy, they have started preparing for the Doomsday.
People from all across the world are bracing up to face the End of the world. In Russia Scores of people are buying candles and matchboxes in their effort to outsmart the apocalypse.
While some are staking salt. In coalmining town of Novokuznetsk, shelves were emptied of salt stocks as the city prepared to ride through the end of the world. The city administration reveals more than 60 tones of salt was brought in one week.
People are already looking for post end of the world remedies- What to eat? How to live?
One Facebook page requested people not to stalk their houses with food supply. The reason, in case the end comes people will storm their houses and they might be harmed!
Russian Government is acting to calm fears. Russian emergency situation minister said that they do not believe in end of the world’s fable but they are prepared to help in case of any emergency situation.
In China, the government arrested more than 500 people to dispel the rumours about the Doomsday.
Police seized leaflets, video discs, books and other apocalyptic materials in the recent arrests of more than 500 people across eight provinces and regions, from the prosperous east coast to less developed western China, state media reports said.
